Jordan Brand continues to gift the schools it sponsors with fresh PE colorways of Air Jordan models on a yearly basis and this season teams have been getting gifted an AJ 1 Retro Low OG. Already taking on the school colors of programs from UNC and UCLA, another school has showcased its version of the iconic silhouette - Howard University.
As one of the first PEs received by Howard University since the school became affiliated with Jordan Brand in August 2022 (the first being the AJ 6), the AJ 1 Low Retro Low OG gets covered in the same construction as other schools with the Bison’s red, navy, and white color scheme utilized throughout. Cracked leather on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel takes on a vibrant red shade while the mini Swoosh near the toe and pebbled leather Swoosh on the midfoot is dressed in a navy blue shade. This same color makes its way to the Nike Air-branded tongue tag while the rest of the model comes in a creamy white shade. Rounding out the branding details is the Howard Bison's logo found on the insole and Jordan Wings logo placed on the heel. Completing this exclusive colorway is the sail AJ 1 midsole paired with a gum rubber outsole.
