To coincide with the next entry in the Black Panther franchise, Marvel has teamed up with adidas on an entire collaborative capsule that includes apparel and a variety of footwear silhouettes. We’ve already seen the Kansas City Chiefs' star QB, Patrick Mahomes, have his football training shoe with The Three Stripes dressed in shades and materials that mimicked both Black Panther and Killmonger, but now we’re getting a Mahomes 1 Impact FLX that comes inspired by the city where he chooses to play, Kansas City.
Seen here in a combo of team collegiate red, cloud white, and team power red 2, the model maintains its typical ripstop nylon, mesh, and fused plastic upper. The titular color covers the majority of the upper with accenting white hits coming via the branding details, such as the embroidered Three Stripes, Patrick Mahomes logo, and adidas text as well as through fused plastic overlays that create a wave-like pattern from the toe to the heel. Back on the spine of the heel, an additional Three Stripes detail sticks out thanks to a hang tag while the final branding detail is present on the insole, co-branded Patrick Mahomes and adidas logos. Rounding out the design is a full-length Boost cushioning system that comes encased by white foam and a semi-translucent red rubber outsole.
The adidas Mahomes 1 Impact FLX Team Collegiate Red is currently available via early access for level 3 and 4 adiClub members while a wider release is set to go down on November 4th, 2022 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store.
