adidas Basketball Returns to the Essentials with Its Chapter 03 Collection

Published

adidas Basketball has carved a niche for itself with innovative designs and performance technology. In recent times, the brand has amplified its presence in the industry, signing big names like James Harden, Trae Young, Anthony Edwards, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, and the latest inductees - Gradey Dick and Jalen Hood-Schifino. The brand's design language primarily focuses on out-of-the-box aesthetics interwoven with high-performance features, creating an optimal balance between style and function.

Emphasizing the essentials, adidas Basketball is launching its new Chapter 03 Collection. The latest range signifies a return to the essentials - form, function, and color. Exploring these themes, everything is curated to cater to the needs of modern athletes. It stands as a pinnacle of assortment that encapsulates versatility at its core.

Footwear in the collection includes two colorways of the classic adidas Rivalry Low 86 2.5, both coming covered in a neutral palette with premium materials. Alongside these performance-turned-lifestyle sneakers is James Harden’s latest silhouette — the adidas Harden Vol. 7 “Pulse Olive.”

Highlighting the collection is the introduction of the brand-new adidas Crazy IIInfinity. Continuing off the legacy of the adidas Crazy series, the former signature line of Kobe Bryant, this sneaker blends together retro, Y2K aesthetics with a modern-day feel.

To match the sneakers, a wide range of clothing will be available. This includes hoodies, long-sleeve tees, sleeveless sweatshirts, and more in a clean, neutral color palette. Each silhouette comes in an oversized, boxy fit that perfectly encapsulates today's fashion trends and the direction of adidas Basketball’s design language.

The adidas Basketball Chapter 03 Collection will release on July 26 via adidas Confirmed and select retailers online and in-store. adidas Crazy IIInfinity

The adidas Crazy IIInfinity is a contemporary spin-off from the adidas Crazy series, which was originally introduced in 2000 as Kobe Bryant's signature line. With a zip closure shaping a sleek silhouette that isn't hampered by laces, and a rubber outsole extending to the midpoint of the shoe, it symbolizes style and practicality. The textile upper ensures a soft and flexible fit, making it an easy-to-wear option with an unparalleled look. This launch colorway comes in a primarily white hue with black accents on the lace closure, tongue, and collar. Underfoot, the rubber outsole features a small hit of pulse olive.

adidas Harden Vol. 7 "Pulse Olive"

The adidas Harden Vol. 7 "Pulse Olive" aligns perfectly with the collection which features several olive-hued pieces. Harden’s signature sneakers are designed to amplify your skills, much like they do for the 76ers star. An adidas JET BOOST midsole combined with Lightstrike cushioning provides a responsive, energy-returning feel with every step. The circular and herringbone patterns on the outsole ensure optimum traction for every spin and step-back move. Premium materials, including suede and textile, envelope the upper and come primarily in the titular olive shade.

adidas Rivalry Low 86 2.5 "Core Black"

Born for the basketball court in the 1980s, the adidas Rivalry Low 86 has become a style statement today. This “Core Black” colorway features tonal Three Stripes on a soft leather upper sitting over a classic rubber outsole that captures the spirit of adidas. Featuring a black color scheme with olive branding details on the tongue and hints of the same color on the outsole, it uses nubuck for most of the upper with leather and suede details spotted throughout.

adidas Rivalry Low 86 2.5 "Cream White"

The adidas Rivalry Low 86 2.5 "Cream White" is another testament to the classic basketball sneaker. The cream-based colorway sports a leather upper and suede details, providing an aesthetically pleasing contrast. Just like the “Core Black” colorway, this pair features soft leather for its upper with the majority coming in a cream-white hue.
