At adidas, the Evo SL has been a huge success, slotting right into the premium running shoe market downstream from its Adios Pro Evo line without the extreme price tags. After bringing in as many colorways and collabs as possible, The Three Stripes has started remixing the silhouette, with an altered shape on a Stella McCartney collab and a newly minted zippered approach.

Zipped and Ready to Race

The adidas Adizero Evo SL Zip debuts with four colorways: White/Black, Core Black, Core White, and Frozen Lemon. Keeping the same shape as the stacked-sole Evo SL, the zippered pair trades a traditional lace panel for a closed sheath on the upper with a zipper running from the top of the tongue to the vamp. Instead of splitting on either side of the tongue, the Three Stripes connect into one massive logo across the shoe.

A traditional set of laces sits beneath the zipper, with perforations in between each of the Three Stripes offering some breathability. Ripstop fabric across the entire upper provides weatherproof protection, while a bit of shine on the stripes adds some flair, even to the two monochrome colorways.

The adidas Adizero Evo SL Zip Collection was released today, July 6, 2026, and is available through adidas and select retailers in-store and online.
