Stella McCartney is Redesigning the adidas Adizero Evo SL in Airy Lace

Sometimes it takes an outside perspective to bring a sneaker to its true potential. Keeping up fashion label Stella McCartney’s ongoing partnership with adidas, the brand founded by the British daughter of Paul from The Beatles is introducing two new pairs of the adidas Adizero Evo SL running shoe with a lacey, redesigned upper that brings a whole new aesthetic vibe to one of The Three Stripes’ most popular silhouettes.

Lace and Mesh for the Track

The Stella McCartney x adidas Adizero Evo SL Collection redesigns the Evo SL upper with a triangular shape similar to the Harden Vol. 10 and AE 2, pushing the lace panel further up the shoe and hiding the laces under the side panels instead of the silhouette’s traditionally visible lace loops.

Beyond the reshaped upper, the shoe switches up the materials for a honeycomb mesh and doily lace fabric on top of a hidden support layer with Three Stripes branding barely poking through on the base layer. Previewed in two monochrome colorways, one in crisp white and another in striking teal, both pairs feature Stella McCartney branding on the medial side of the midsole next to a Three Stripes logo.

So far, we’ve only seen the redesigned Evo SL pairs in quick social media previews, but the @adizero_unite IG page that posted the photos noted that the Stella McCartney x adidas Adizero Evo SL Collection is expected to drop next month.
