Action Bronson Debuts His First Signature New Balance Silhouette, the 2811

Action Bronson’s BAKLAVA brand is hitting new heights in its partnership with New Balance. Achieving a milestone that took longtime collaborator Ronnie Fieg 15 years to achieve, Bronson fast-tracked his own New Balance signature silhouette, officially introducing the 2811 on Instagram this week.

The Action Bronson x New Balance Baklava 2811 has been popping up on Bronson’s feet for months now, with several colorways previewed courtside at MSG and the arena formerly known as Staples Center. After doing our best to try to read the numbers on Bronson’s tongue, the Queens rapper formally debuted the shoe online in the middle of Paris Fashion Week, drawing some attention back to New York.

Bronson’s announcement came with only a few close-up photos of the silhouette, but combining what we’ve seen on foot with the new images, we’ve got a pretty good idea of what the model looks like. Starting with a classic mesh and suede construction, the toebox adds “M” shaped support strips that stretch back to the side panels. Broken line details add texture to the swooping midsole, and a BAKLAVA 2811 tongue tag solidifies Bronson’s design duties on the pair.

”This project is magic,” Bronson wrote on IG. “To be able to add my own number to the NB brand is a great feeling. The legacy will live on forever. Stay tuned.”
