Action Bronson is in the midst of rolling out his first signature sneaker with New Balance, the Baklava 2811, and it’s been a long time coming. He had hit after hit with NB across the brand’s catalog, and finally, after years of partnership, the Boston-based footwear brand has given him his very own shoe. While he unveiled the shoe on foot multiple times, he just dropped a short film on his YouTube channel to promote the upcoming release of the Mikročpske colorway. Now, Bronsolino announced that Tri-State area residents (that’s New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) will have first dibs at the shoe
Action Bronson’s Tri-State New Balance 2811 Drop
In an Instagram post announcing the ultra-limited release, which will only have 300 pairs, Bronson says, “TRI STATE AREA GET THE FIRST TASTE OF THE BAKLAVA 2811 MIKROČPSKE.” The pair pictured is the one he wears in the Mikročpske film, featuring a lime green base layer, teal blue plastic overlays, and black overlays across the toe and midfoot. With a clear look at the sneaker finally available, it’s reminding us of the adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 with its chunky and oversized aesthetic. It also appears that the sole unit borrows some detail from the New Balance ABZORB 2010.
