Tyrese Haliburton will likely be out for all of the 2025-2026 NBA season but Puma will have to work around his absence as they’re dropping his first signature sneaker, the Puma Hali 1, ahead of the season in September. When the (lackluster) rollout for the Puma Hali 1 began, the Hibiscus colorway was all that we would see until designer Salehe Bembury teased us with a slew of different options. Included here was a blue rendition that Haliburton himself teased last week, which has now appeared in official imagery.
The low-top silhouette has a multi-layered upper composed of engineered mesh, TPU, and suede paneling, done primarily in blue hues for this specific rendition. Salehe Bmebury’s influence here is strong, as the upper paneling exudes an organic look thanks to the curvy and free-flowing design on the toebox overlay and midfoot cage. However, Bembury's most obvious influence is his fingerprint motif, which is incorporated into the Nitro Foam midsole.
As for the rest of the sneaker, we see a double-reinforced toecap in fused TPU and suede, a Puma big cat logo in a contrasting teal on the collar, and Tyrese Haliburton’s logos on the tongue and heel in the same teal hue. Hali’s logo is also located on the insole, which is surrounded by a cushioned blue mesh. Finishing the sneaker is the aforementioned blue foam midsole and a tonal icy blue rubber outsole.
The Puma Hali 1 Blue will be released in September 2025 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has not been announced.
