The Nike ZoomX Dragonfly 2 is an ultra-lightweight mid-to-long distance track spike. This update features a re-engineered version of Nike's highly responsive ZoomX foam, a full-length plate with a curved design, and a redesigned plate material which is lighter, more responsive, and has improved durability.
The Dragonfly is Nike's fourth carbon plated distance spike. The prior three are the Nike Zoom Mamba, a steeplechase spike with a carbon shank, the Nike Zoom Victory XC, which also had a carbon shank, and the Nike Zoom Victory Elite, a mid distance spike with a full carbon plate. While heavier at 130g (men's size 9) than the original 100g Zoom Victory, the Dragonfly's ZoomX foam reinforced by a carbon fiber plate yielded a faster, more resilient spike.
