The Nike Air Max 1 London was a part of the 2020 “City Pack.” Inspired by the famous city in England, this pair comes in a smoke grey, valerian blue and dark smoke grey colorway. Featuring an upper made up of premium materials such as: suede, tumbled leather and corduroy. Details include circular embroidery near the forefoot Swoosh and custom “LDN” branding on the tongue tags. An embroidered map-like design is found wrapping around the “Nike” branding on tha back heels, which is a nod to the Thames river.
The Nike Air Max 1 made its debut in 1987. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, it was the first sneaker to feature a visible Air unit. We would go on to see the Air Jordan 3, Air Trainer 1 and Air Revolution, among others to feature this breakthrough design element. One of the most iconic sneakers of all-time, it was the predecessor to all things Air Max that still continues to push the envelope of footwear technology to this day.
The Nike Air Max 1 “London” is set to release on March 19th, 2020. It will launch via Nike & select stores for a retail price of $160. They will be available exclusively in men’s sizing.
