Many brands succeed with a few silhouettes and will kill the hype and momentum by pumping out too many collabs and colorways. New Balance has made sure this isn’t the case, as with newfound success to the tune of record-breaking sales year-over-year, they’ve come forward with archival revivals and new models galore. The latest new design from the Boston-based brand is the upcoming 204L, which leans into the low-top technical trends it helped spawn through its Miu Miu collaborations.
Helping kick off the silhouette is a Kith collaboration, which makes sense as Ronnie Fieg and his label have long been part of NB’s release strategy. They’ve previously helped bring energy to new models like the 1000 and will do so later this year with the two-pack of New Balance 2010 colorways. As for the 204L, the sneaker comes with a mesh-based upper reinforced with layered suede and leather panels, which is not too far from the upcoming RC56 in collaboration with Aime Leon Dore.

Branding for Kith is semi-restrained as the label adds its logo to the lateral heel on the right shoe and the insole of both, while New Balance logos are spotted on the midfoot and tongue. Below is a foam midsole with a rubber outsole with a dotted traction pattern. Outside of this Kith collaboration, Sole Retriever can confirm at least 11 in-line colorways of the sneaker planned throughout the year.
The Kith x New Balance 204L will release later in 2025 through Kith online and in-store. As of this writing, the retail price has yet to be announced. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
