After the fallout of the adidas Yeezy partnership and the passing of Virgil Abloh, a significant void has been left in the hype sneaker space. That’s not to say that collaborators and brands aren’t pumping out quality releases, but that special something that came with Off-White Jordans and early Off-White x Nike drops still seems to be missing. Well, for those who missed that era or have never had the chance to experience it, Off-White is set to drop another collaborative Air Jordan 1 come Holiday 2025 (though this has now changed).
Off-White and Jordan Brand planned to coat the sneaker with a simple white color palette. While this may lead you to believe that means we're getting a retro of the Euro-exclusive color, the SKU for the sneaker is different. It’s labeled “Alaska,” perhaps a reference to the “ALASKA ALASKA” design and creative service studio founded by Virgil Abloh.
