2025’s celebration of the Air Jordan 1 has seen Jordan Brand bring back an array of classic colorways. Some have changed from the “reimagined” series, Black Toe and UNC renditions, while others, like the Bred, were given a 1:1 remake through the 85 cut of the sneaker. Jordan Brand has added another Jordan 1 High 85, aside from the Shadow 2.0, to the lineup with a black, varsity red, and white colorway for Holiday 2025.
While the color scheme and retail price on this new 85 Air Jordan 1 may initially seem like a potential restock of the pair just released for All-Star Weekend, a few key differences indicate that this is not the case — this is something new. First, the SKU differs from the February pair; the already-released Air Jordan 1 High 85 has the code HV6674-067, while this upcoming release is IQ6083-067. When Nike or Jordan Brand (or almost every brand, for that matter) re-releases a product so quickly after a drop, they keep the same product code.
A direct source at Jordan Brand has confirmed with Sole Retriever that the upcoming pair is NOT a restock of the Bred 85s from earlier this year, contrary to other reports.
Different versions of the Air Jordan 1 High 85 Bred
Following these initial reports, images of the pair appeared, but the sneaker doesn't have any visible changes from the February release. What is different is the inclusion of extra laces, one of which is black with gold speckles. The images don't showcase the packaging, but it's not hard to image they change the packaging of the sneaker, especially consdiering the "SP" moniker attached. If you're unaware, "SP" stands for Special Project.
The Air Jordan 1 High 85 SP Black Varsity Red White will release in Holiday 2025 for $250. It's possible the pair is released on October 18, as that's the day the NBA "banned" the Air Jordan 1. Expect a release through Nike SNKRS and select retailers online and in-store.
