The Air Jordan 8 gets a premium makeover in honor of Japanese professional basketball player, Rui Hachimura. A “PE” (player exclusive) of sorts, this is the first retro made for Hachimura as his previous releases were on the Air Jordan 34, 35 and 36, respectively.

A Jordan Brand Team Member since 2019, this Air Jordan 8 Retro SE ties back to Rui Hachimura’s Japanese roots. They come in a twine, gym red, black and sesame colorway. Sporting a twine-based upper made up of premium materials throughout. Black and red accents along with Hachimura’s “H” logo on the tongue in place of the traditional Jumpman.

Originally set to release in early 2022, the Air Jordan 8 Retro SE “Rui Hachimura” is now set to launch May 23rd. It will launch via Nike & select Jordan Brand retailers for a retail price of $225 in men’s sizing. This pair also comes with special packaging.
