Earlier in the year, Willy Chavarria unveiled his first collaborative collection with adidas at Paris Fashion Week, featuring reinterpretations of various adidas silhouettes in footwear and apparel. One was a dress shoe update to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s adidas Jabbar Low silhouette, which has now emerged via official imagery.
The low-top basketball shoe has now been transformed to feature a pointed toe, traditionally found on dress shoes, and premium materials across its paneling. Starting at the pointed toe is a black suede that wraps around the leather toebox, while the rest of the paneling takes on a similar soft premium leather finish. Kareem branding graces the lateral profile next to the serrated Three Stripes, matching the golden hues of the co-branded Willy Chavarria, Kareem, and adidas tongue tag.

Inside sits a natural leather insole with more Willy Chavarria and adidas logos. Finishing the upper are the debossed Trefoil logos on the heel tab, wax laces in a tonal black finish, and smooth black leather on the tongue. Down below sits the standard Jabbar tooling setup in a tonal black look.
The Willy Chavarria x adidas Jabbar Dress Low will release sometime in 2025 through adidas, Willy Chavarria, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
