Sportswear giant adidas is set to release the adizero Evo SL in a women’s exclusive Core Black Iron Metallic colorway for Spring 2025. First launched last year, the running shoe incorporates the latest technology while remaining affordable; it is recognized as the lightest shoe in the Adizero range. In addition to this pair, Wonder White and Lucid Lemon are also set to drop.
Core Black hues envelop the shoe, creating a sleek, sophisticated aesthetic that glistens subtly in the right lighting conditions. The upper is made from a single piece of engineered mesh, assuring the shoe is incredibly lightweight and offers a secure feel. The iconic Three Stripes branding in iron metallic hues reaches from the midfoot to the midsole.
The breathable fabrics lining the collar and tongue are designed for enhanced airflow and maximum ventilation during intense runs or workouts. This element ensures the shoe remains comfortable over long distances, reducing heat build-up and improving flexibility. The minimal Adizero branding on the tongue adds a refined touch, blending seamlessly into the shoe’s modern design.
What keeps the shoe so incredibly lightweight is the Lightstrike Pro foam midsole, borrowed from the premium Adios Pro Evo 1. This advanced cushioning technology delivers a perfect balance of responsiveness and comfort, absorbing impact while returning energy with every stride. Additionally, the iconic Three Stripes in iron metallic hues extend from the midfoot to the midsole, subtly contrasting the overall design.
A lightweight heel cage, branded with adizero Evo SL, provides critical structural support without adding bulk. The shoe is finished with a Continental rubber outsole underfoot, known for its durability and superior grip.
The adidas adizero Evo SL Core Black Iron Metallic W is set to release on February 1, 2025, via adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women's sizing, retail is $150.
