The Nike Air Max 1 Patta Waves Noise Aqua is one of two limited edition collaborations made between the Swoosh and the Amsterdam-based retailer. Nicknamed the “Noise Aqua” edition, this pair comes in a clean metallic silver, noise aqua and pure platinum colorway. Featuring an OG-like construction with a unique wave pattern on the mudguard. The grey-based sneaker is finished off by burnt orange accents, off white covering the tongue and midsole, Patta branding on the tongue tag and sockliner and a mini Swoosh logo on the wavy mudguard.
The Nike Air Max 1 made its debut in 1987. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, it was the first sneaker to feature a visible Air unit. We would go on to see the Air Jordan 3, Air Trainer 1 and Air Revolution, among others to feature this breakthrough design element. One of the most iconic sneakers of all-time, it was the predecessor to all things Air Max that still continues to push the envelope of footwear technology to this day.
The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Waves Noise Aqua” is set to release on November 4th, 2021. It will launch at Nike as well as select stores for a retail price of $160. Available exclusively in men’s sizing, housed in special packaging.
