Zion Williamson Debuts His Jordan Fire & Ice Pack
PublishedSome of the top players in the NBA are fortunate enough to sign with sportswear companies like Jordan Brand who will gift their signees with exclusive colorways and releases throughout the year. While the king of this in 2022 has been Jayson Tatum (who has been spotted in numerous PE sneakers), one of basketball’s rising stars, Zion Williamson, is getting the same treatment. Just ahead of his highly anticipated Air Jordan 1 Low, Williamson was spotted in a PE version of Jordan Zion 2 “Hyper Crimson” which contrasts the Air Jordan 12 Retro Low. These two sneakers help create the Zion Williamson x Jordan “Fire & Ice” Pack.
The star of this two-pack, the Air Jordan 12 Retro Low “Ice” covers the iconic Jordan model in an all-over icy blue shade with the addition of leather flame details on the profile. As for the rest of the upper, your typical tumbled leather with stitching details makes up the base layer while smooth leather replaces the usual faux snakeskin print on the mudguard. Tonal blue laces match the rest of the upper while the metallic eyestay at the top keeps the icy blue hue going strong. Branding details throughout also borrow this same color, as seen on the Jumpman logo on the tongue and heel, though the semi-translucent rubber outsole features a hyper crimson Jumpman near the toe. Rounding out the design is the icy blue midsole paired with the aforementioned clear semi-translucent rubber outsole.
Contrasting this, is the Jordan Zion 2 “Fire,” which features an inverted color scheme as the majority of the mesh, leather, and fused overlay upper gets covered in the titular shade. Accenting this are the branding details, such as the “ZW” logo on the tongue and the “Zoom Air” featured on the lockdown strap, which comes in an icy blue shade while the sole unit also takes on this same hue.
The Zion Williamson x Jordan “Fire & Ice” Pack comes with two PE's, the Jordan Zion 2 "Fire" (not to be confused with the "Hyper Crimson" GR), and the Air Jordan 12 Retro Low “Ice." Looking into the future, expect Zion to continue to receive exclusive colorways on various Jordan Brand models.
