In November 2022, Jordan Brand released a special Voodoo Pack for New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson. This two-shoe collection featured the Jordan Zion 2 and the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG, both coming in a voodoo theme inspired by the old tradition still practiced today in New Orleans, Louisiana. For 2023, members of the Jordan Brand team cooked up a follow-up to the coveted AJ 1 Low OG. Only this time around, it remains exclusive to the Jordan Brand athlete.
The Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Voodoo Blue PE has the same design and materials as its predecessor. However, instead of browns, beiges, and tans, JB opts for various shades of blues and purples. Mismatched color panels, upside-down and backward branding, and a voodoo doll-like skull embroidered on the heels are just some of the unique detailing on this sneaker. The single thread stitching along the Swoosh on the sides, leather lining, and cross-stitched pattern on the toe add depth to this other-worldly sneaker. Rope laces, neon hits on the branding, a white midsole, and a solid grey rubber outsole complete this one-of-a-kind Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG look.
