Ye (formerly known as Kayne West) has got the world buzzing with a premature early release of his latest footwear – the innovative Yeezy Pod Socks. The Yeezy Pod Socks that previously went live prematurely, is now live for pre-order. According to the YZY SPLY website, the Yeezy Pod will be delivered within 4 weeks.
These sock-like shoes are a testament to the brand's commitment to pushing the boundaries of footwear design. Crafted in Italy, the Yeezy Pod Socks feature a sleek all-black design that exudes a modern and minimalist aesthetic. The Yeezy Pod Socks are made up of a knit upper and rubber outsole. The snug fit provides a seamless silhouette that blends the line between socks and shoes, creating a futuristic look that's both stylish and practical. Adding to its utilitarian design, the socks can be folded and easily transported.
Previously Ye was working with adidas to produce footwear under adidas Yeezy and famously was one of Nike's first non-athletes to have his own signature sneaker. This release marks his first release independent from adidas.
For the last year, Ye has forgone wearing traditional footwear and has taken a liking to brands like Sand Sock. This served as inspiration for prototypes that were being worked on under the Yeezy Gap banner, though as mentioned previously this new venture is entirely independent of any major brand.
Following the product loading early on the new Yeezy website, the Yeezy Pod Socks went up for pre-order on sply.yeezy.com. Originally priced at $200, the retail price was dropped to just $20 alongside every item available on Ye's website.
Two months after the price was reduced, the product was removed from Yeezy's website with no confirmation that anyone had received their orders.

As pre-orders have begun, the limited-size offering of the Yeezy Pods has led to some confusion. One Reddit user posted a picture of the Yeezy Pods on foot, and it was clearly oversized despite following the size chart.
