Founded in 1921, White Castle saw much success through the Roaring 20’s and beyond with their clean establishment and classic slider burgers. Garnering a cult following, the chain celebrated its 100th anniversary with much fanfare, including a collaboration with Puma that featured apparel and two silhouettes. Now in 2022, the collaboration continues with the White Castle x Puma RS-X.
Resembling White Castle’s iconic square sliders and packaging, this Puma RS-X is dressed in leather with shades of brown on the base and orange, white and green throughout the overlays. White Castle and Puma co-branding make their way to the tongue and insoles, with the standard Puma branding coming on the midfoot panel. Along the white eyelets, “5¢” stamped on gives a nod to the original pricing of the slider that brought fame to White Castle. The branding comes to a close with White Castle replacing Puma on the heel tab. Rounding out the look is the white midsole with brown and orange fused overlays matched to an orange toned rubber outsole.
The White Castle x Puma RS-X is scheduled to release on February 9th, 2022. It will be available through Puma.com and select retailers for a retail price of $120 in men's sizing.
