While it's become commonplace for Jordan Brand to collaborate with outside partners, this wasn't the case twenty years ago. The first instance of Jordan Brand partnering up to launch a retro Air Jordan was with LA-based retailer Undefeated on the Air Jordan 4 in 2005.

The MA-2 flight jacket-inspired Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 was originally limited to just 72 pairs and has since become one of the most coveted Air Jordan sneakers of all time. Now, twenty years after its original release, Undefeated and Jordan Brand are retroing the sneaker for the first time.

The Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 will release on August 2, 2025, through Undefeated for $230. Here is everything you need to know to buy the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 Retro on release day.

Release information for the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4

The Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 will release via two EQL raffles and an online first-come-first-served drop. Entries for the online raffle via EQL will start on Monday, July 28, 2025, through Undefeated's site. Following this, an in-store raffle via EQL will go live on Wednesday, July 30.

EQL raffles are basically like any other raffle. You enter your shipping/billing information, and winners will be randomly selected to purchase the pair. EQL+, a paid service offered by the company, will not increase your odds of winning, but it does provide some extra benefits. First, the "Run Fair Fee," which is only charged if you do win the raffle, will be waived. You'll also have the opportunity to enter a backup size in case you're not selected for your first choice, giving you a second chance. You can learn more about EQL's selection process and EQL+ here.

As for the first-come-first-served release on August 2, 2025, at 8 AM PST (11 AM EST), Undefeated will (hopefully) introduce a secondary website specifically for the release. It's possible they will conduct a standard release on their website, which requires you to be signed in to checkout. Ahead of the release, sign-in and make sure your shipping and billing information is up-to-date for a smooth checkout process.
