For the last two decades, Nike has teamed up with OHSU’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital for the Doernbecher Freestyle Collection, allowing child-patients to design their very own Nike and Jordan sneakers. The 21st collection was officially unveiled in October, with an in-person auction that raised nearly $2 million for the hospital. While someone paid $175,000 for Zach Rumbaugh’s Air Jordan 17, you can save over 99% if you wait till mid-January.

Where to Buy the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 21 Collection

As mentioned above, the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 21 Collection will be released on January 17, 2026. Expect a release via Nike SNKRS, DTLR, SNIPES, and Shoe Palace on this date. Like all Doernbecher releases, the collection will be fairly limited, so expect most, if not all, the pairs to sell out across the board. The most in-demand silhouette this year is clearly the Air Jordan 17.

For Nike SNKRS, ensure your SNKRS App is updated and you have up-to-date billing and shipping information for a fast and easy checkout. The collection hasn’t loaded on the SNKRS App just yet, but Nike will likely use the draw method to select winners. This means that on January 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET (7:00 AM PT), you can enter the draw. After a 10-minute entry period, Nike will close the draw and select winners within a few minutes.

DTLR will release their pairs online as well as in-store. The retailer hasn’t announced specifics on how the release will take place, but as soon as they do we will update you here.
