You Can Only Get the Nike Ja 4 Deep Water at Foot Locker

We’re still about a month out from NBA action, but that hasn’t stopped the signature sneaker side of the industry from making moves in the offseason. Over at Nike, Ja Morant dropped his fourth signature sneaker, the Ja 4, as a follow-up to one of the most popular models in Nike Basketball history, the Ja 3. The Ja 4 will have some big shoes to fill (quite literally), but with a string of thematic colorways on the horizon, it looks like it will, at the very least, live up to the expectations set by the previous silhouette. Up next for the Ja 4 is a shark-inspired Deep Water colorway, which is set to be exclusive to Foot Locker.

Nike Ja 4 Deep Water Details

Taking inspiration from Ja Morant’s deadly playstyle, Nike likens Morant’s on-court presence to that of a shark in deep water. There’s no escaping the jaws of Ja in Nike’s mind, and that’s why there’s an overt shark reference placed around Ja Morant’s signature logo on the tongue.

Like the ocean, the Ja 4 Deep Water’s upper comes in a light blue hue that transitions to a deeper shade, as if you’re descending into the depths of the open sea. However, the gradient is flipped, with darker shades starting at the top of the armored upper that eventually turn into a light blue. Dark blue hits grace the Swoosh and Ja-Frame containment system, which also playfully spells out “JA” on the lateral side of the sneaker. Finishing the design is the tonal midsole and semi-translucent outsole, which contains Cushlon 3.0 foam that works in tandem with the Super Critical Foam insole for a cushioned and stable ride on court.

The Nike Ja 4 Deep Water will be released exclusively at Foot Locker, both online and in-store. Available in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is set at $140 and $115, respectively.
