Yeah, Hov is back. Jay-Z may have spit this line way back in 2001 on the classic “Izzo (H.O.V.A)” off The Blueprint, but the prophetic line is more true today than it was 25 years back.

Yankee Stadium in NYC is preparing for Jay’s first show as part of his Jay-Z 30 tour, celebrating Reasonable Doubt’s 30th birthday and The Blueprint’s 25th anniversary, which has only brought the legendary rapper back into the spotlight. Well, really, it was his appearance at The Roots Picnic where he dissed Drake, Ye, Nicki Minaj, Dame Dash, and Tory Lanez, but we digress.

We’ve seen tie-ins with Jay-Z from across industries, including a special edition Air Force 1 Low gifted to friends and family, but the latest is as New York as it gets: a Yankee Fitted.

Jay-Z’s New Era Yankee Fitted

In photos documenting Jay-Z rehearsing for this weekend’s concert at Yankee Stadium, we can see Hova rocking a New York Yankees fitted that’s been adorned with an umlaut (the two dots above a letter). Jay stylized the “Y” in his name this way early in his career, and as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations for Reasonable Doubt, this has returned. “JAŸ-Z” sits on the back of the hat with “30 Years of Legacy” embroidered in cursive just below. Of course, the New Era logo is present on the left side of the cap, while the right features the Plane’s logo.

In addition to the fitted worn by Jay, Paper Planes had a second cap that forgoes the Yankees logo in place of Planes’ on the front. Hov’s full discography is embroidered on the back, from Reasonable Doubt to The Blueprint trilogy and, of course, 4:44. Definitely a solid choice if you have a hatred for the Yanks but want to show your love for Jay-Z, but unfortunately, it's sold out.
