AI changed the game decades ago. No, not artificial intelligence - that’s the big buzzword of the mid-2020s; we’re talking about NBA legend Allen Iverson, the OG AI. Back in 1996, Iverson and Reebok introduced the first signature sneaker in his line, the Reebok Question, helping put the Bok Boys on the map for performance basketball. Now that we’re 30 years removed from AI’s first shoe, Reebok is going back and retooling the silhouette for the modern game with the Question Mid Recoded.

Two different colorways of the Reebok Question Mid Recoded, the upgraded version of Iverson’s OG sneaker, are hitting shelves in honor of the sneaker’s 30th birthday. There’s a Recoded take on the iconic Red Toe colorway and a brand-new emerald green 30th Anniversary pair. Starting with the Red Toe, the model is primarily coated in white, with the toecap dipped in red to match the heel panel, Hexalite pods in the midsole, the Reebok Vector logos, and the lace eyelets that spell Reebok.

For the emerald green 30th Anniversary colorway, Reebok completely covers the sneaker in a vibrant green hue, contrasted by yellow details throughout. These pops of yellow appear on the outline of the Reebok Vector logo on the tongue and midfoot, Allen Iverson’s Question logo on the heel, and the honeycomb design of the Hexalite pods.
As far as the upgrades are concerned, Reebok is introducing modern tech to the sneaker to make it a viable option for on-court performance in 2026. SuperFloat cushioning is added to the midsole, with an Energy Return System (ERS) in the heel for better responsiveness. Not only did they add to the cushioning, but Reebok also reshaped the upper for a better fit and redeveloped the outsole to have a modern traction pattern and a stability plate.
