Wales Bonner x adidas Originals Summer 2025 Collection

Grace Wales Bonner’s eponymous label has developed a solid relationship with adidas that has only bolstered both brands over the years. The duo last worked on a series of Superstars and Sambas to end 2024. Still, it will pick things up in the early summer months in 2025 with a five-piece capsule including two adidas Superstar Hi colorways, two Adilette Slides, and a sequin-covered sneaker, the adidas Karintha.

Starting with the collection's highlight, and the pair that has gone the most viral, is the adidas Karintha Sequin, an all-new silhouette developed by Wales Bonner and adidas. The duo drew inspiration from ‘70s archival adidas runners for the upper, but has leaned into the flat thin sole trend pervasive in sneakers and fashion over the last year. The entire upper is coated in a sleek black sequin material, contrasted by brown details on the Three Stripes, tongue, heel tab, and lace set.

For the Superstar Hi colorways, Wales Bonner applies two neutral, earthy color palettes, one in Mist Stone and another in Brown, both coated in premium suede across the upper. The monochromatic look covers this material and the lace set, while golden accents pop on the co-branded adidas and Wales Bonner logo on the tongue and the Wales Bonner text on the lateral heel. No Superstar is complete without the classic shell toe, which is rendered in its traditional rubber construction.

Finally, the collection is complete with two Adilette Slides constructed in Italy. The Wonder White and Dark Brown colorways have the same construction, the standard foam footbed and cushioning, and a basket-woven forefoot strap. Here, the Three Stripes logo contrasts in a secondary shade, while the look is complete with Wales Bonner branding on the lateral side wall and a black rubber outsole.

The Wales Bonner x adidas Originals Summer 2025 Collection will release in the coming months through adidas, Wales Bonner, and select retailers online and in-store.
