Sneaker rollouts play a big part in drumming up hype and excitement for a release, so it’s critical to make sure the public has a great perception of a shoe before release. That often comes with friends and family flexing on social media, celebrities rocking the sneaker, and campaign videos bringing the theme of the sneaker to life. But if you’ve been paying attention to Steven Victor’s IG over the last few months, you might be a bit turned off from the upcoming Victor Victor x Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘01 collection.
Steven has gifted dozens and dozens of pairs to the usual who's-who like DJ Khaled and AJ Dybantsa, but release info has been scarce, and things have continually changed. Couple that with the fact he’s announced the red pair is limited to 646, and some have been soured by the rollout thus far. Even still, you’ll have somewhat of a shot to cop your pair now that a firm release date has been announced.
Victor Victor x Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘01 University Red Details
Steven Victor’s take on the 2001 shape of the Air Force 1 Low falls in line with his love of supercars, coating the AF1 in a university red shade like his Ferrari Testarossa. White accents hit the Swoosh logos on the vamp and midfoot, and the Nike Air logo on the tongue and heel. On the outsole, racing stripes in yellow, green, blue, and red are added alongside repeating “VICTOR VICTOR” text.
