New York fashion label Vaquera debuted its first sneaker collabs at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year in a project that spans two of the world’s most well-known sneaker brands. Working with Nike and Converse (Nike owns Converse, in case you didn’t know) on a set of individual collections, Vaquera’s Converse debut features a redesigned pack of Chuck Taylors with wedge boots and calf-high drawstring uppers.

The Vaquera x Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star XHi Pack is exactly what it sounds like: a collection of classic Chucks done with an extra high-top finish. Available in black and white colorways of each of two styles, the XHi and the XXXHi, the four-pack of Vaquera Chucks brings the high boot trend to Converse, all with a hidden wedge in the sole for an extra boost of height.

The XHi pairs stretch just above the ankles, with a drawstring closure at the top to keep the floppy upper stable at your desired leg height. The medial side All-Star circle logo is redone with Vaquera branding, but other than the height, the classic white and black colorways are as traditional as they come. The XXXHi pairs add another foot or two of length onto the upper, creating a canvas sneaker that stretches all the way up to the knee.

“We love to take something well-known like the Chuck and make it feel new,” Vaquera co-founder Bryn Taubensee said. “We kept a lot of the iconic elements of the Chuck but removed the laces and supersized the upper. The effect is something familiar while at the same time unknown and exciting.”

The Vaquera x Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star XHi Pack was released today, November 10, 2025 exclusively through Vaquera, with a global release to follow on November 11, 2025.
