Designer Greg Betty doesn’t work at Vans anymore, but his influence is still being felt across the OG skate shoe brand. The man responsible for designing the Chanel bag Old Skools and so many of the bejeweled, pearlized pairs that have spurred the brand’s OTW comeback. Now, more of Betty’s designs are set to hit shelves soon, with the designer taking to IG to preview new pairs of Old Skools and Authentics.

Old Skool and Authentic Heat

The Vans Premium Bandana & Micro Daisy Pack preview features three colorways designed by Betty, two Old Skools and one Authentic. On the Old Skools, black and olive green colorways mix woven paisley canvas panels on the side panels with premium leather on the toebox and tongue, and soft suede on the stripe logos.

On the Micro Daisy Authentic, the skate shoe is covered in tiny floral print with a pattern from shoe designer Taka Hayashi. Mixing burgundy with gold and white accents on the toebox, the rest of the upper switches to a green base with yellow flowers. A black border on the ankle and white laces match the white midsole and black foxing stripe.
