Vans is setting sail for new horizons. The SoCal skate originators have been dominating every corner of the sneaker space lately, from iconic performance skate shoes to a revitalized OTW (Off The Wall) program bringing Pearlized Packs and Satoshi collabs to boutique retailers across the globe. For its latest out-of-the-box collection, Vans is tapping into some nautical energy with a two-pack of Old Skool 36s covered in sailors' knots.
Knotted Up

The Vans Old Skool 36 Knot Pack pushes off from the dock with two debut colorways: Royal Cobalt and Soft Sage. On both pairs, suede paneling is added to the toebox, lace panel, and heel, while tight-knit fabric covers the side panels and tongue. The Sage pair goes pale green on the suede and mushroomy brown on the side panels, while the Cobalt colorway brings bright blue to the suede and a light, pale blue on the side panels.
Knotted rope accents are added to both pairs in the middle of the toebox, across the stripe logo on the side panel, and onto the heel tab. The rope brings some boat shoe energy to the collection, but knots up every visible section of rope for a new aesthetic take on an old classic.
