Urusei Yatsura is, no doubt, one of the most iconic manga series of all time. First serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday, the Rumiko Takahashi franchise has since spawned anime, films, a vast range of video games, and even its own LP albums as well. In October 2022, Urusei Yatsura was officially brought back for a brand new 46-episode anime series, and to celebrate this, Onitsuka Tiger has revealed the Urusei Yatsura x Onitsuka Tiger Pack - and here's everything that you need to know.
Kicking it off with the Urusei Yatsura x Onitsuka Tiger Delecity, the vibrant yellow all-leather construction is decorated with black tiger stripes that resemble the protagonist's signature outfit. This exotic aesthetic extends towards the ribbed midsole underfoot, which is crafted from a lightweight foam for all-day comfort and cushioning. Onitsuka branding is printed on the tongue and heel in purple, while Urusei Yatsura's logo adorns the insole. All this comes packaged in a shoebox that's also inspired by Lum the Invader Girl, and it's accompanied by a white sweater as well as a tote bag, complete with a canvas shoulder strap for extra convenience.
The Urusei Yatsura x Onitsuka Tiger Delecity Vibrant Yellow is expected to release in extremely limited quantities on October 29th, 2022, two weeks after the launch of its new TV series. Set to drop at Onitsuka Tiger and select retailers online and in-store, these will be available in men's sizes with a retail price of $175.
