Though Nike is making headlines with the 35th Anniversary of the Air Max line, the Vans Half Cab is celebrating its 30th Anniversary with the introduction of the Half Cab ‘92, an upgrade to the original model. One of the stores carrying Vans and other skate products, Uprise Skateshop in Chicago, is also getting in on an anniversary celebration of their own with 25 years under their belt. The two skate-focused brands are coming together to release a duo of limtited edition Half Cab ‘92s.
Coming in bother red/black and black/red, both silhouettes come constructed out of suede and canvas. On the red/black combo, the entire silhouette minus the tongue, laces, and sockliner comes dressed in a bright red across its overlays and underlays of suede, with accenting black stitching throughout. Half Cab tags appear on the collar and atop the black canvas tongue with the rear displaying the Uprise Skateshop logo. Down below the entire vulcanized rubber midsole and outsole come in a bright red matching the upper.
The black-based look takes its cues from the red/black pair when it comes to details, with branding and materials to match. Breaking up the monochromatic look is the red accent stitching around the black suede overlays. Rounding out the look is the blacked-out midsole and outsole combo.
Both colorways of the Uprise Skateshop x Vans Half Cab ‘92 are set to release on April 8th, 2022 through Uprise Skateshop online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $85.
