The UNIQLO KAWS Universe Collab Releases September 14

Securing KAWS merchandise can be a bit of a hassle. The artist releases collaborative collections pretty frequently, but on top of the limited nature of his projects, high retail prices can steer some clear of copping KAWS gear. That’s not the case when it comes to KAWS’ collaboration with UNIQLO, which kicked off back in 2016 and has remained a steady partnership over the last decade. Following the triple-collab with Andy Warhol’s estate in 2024 and the artist being named UNIQLO’s first-ever Artist in Residence in 2025, the KAWS x UNIQLO relationship expands into the KAWS Universe.

UNIQLO KAWS Universe Collection Details

The latest collab between UNIQLO and KAWS introduces three new characters, designed specifically for UNIQLO, into KAWS’ cast of characters: Earth, Moon, and Sun. Each is a cartoon representation of its real-life counterpart and, of course, features the “XX” eye motif found throughout KAWS’ work.

Speaking on the collab, KAWS said, “I'm excited to launch my next UNIQLO collection, featuring new characters inspired by the Earth, Moon, and Sun—three things we all live under and share, celebrating what brings us together.”

The characters join forces with the KAWS COMPANION figure across four T-shirts and three sweatshirts. Each character gets its own T-shirt and sweatshirt, with designs the same across both adult and kids' sizes. One showcases the KAWS COMPANION pushing the Sun, another with the COMPANION resting on the Moon, and finally one where the COMPANION is carrying the Earth on its back. In addition to the clothing, three charms are being offered, one for each character.

The UNIQLO KAWS Universe Collection will be released September 14, 2026 through UNIQLO in-store and online at 8:15 AM ET. Retail prices for the adult T-shirts are set at $29.90, while the sweatshirts are priced at $49.90. Kids’ tees will retail for $19.90, and the kids’ sweatshirts for $29.90. Charms are priced at $19.90.
