A release is finally happening after over a year of teasing the Undercover x Nike Dunk High “Chaos.”
Founded in 1993, Jun Takahashi has taken Undercover to the highest heights in the fashion world by transitioning from an emerging streetwear brand to the runway in Paris. For the past few years the brand has had the luxury of working with Nike on plenty of sneaker silhouettes and apparel, including the triple collab with sacai on the Nike LDwaffle. Now, as a follow up to their Nike Dunk High collab from the year prior, Undercover and Nike bring “Chaos” to the Nike Dunk High 1985 with two colorways on the horizon.
Coming constructed out of premium tumbled leather across the upper, both colorways of the Undercover x Nike Dunk High 1985 “Chaos” come dressed in monochromatic looks of Black or White. This simple look is broken up by inverted colored writing along the heel and collar on each colorway. Aside from “Chaos” written boldly on the back of the left pair, “Balance” appears in German on the right pair.
Just above the contradictory phrase is “Neues Leben, Neuer Lärm”, translating to “New Life, New Noise”. As for branding, the usual Nike Swoosh appears in the monochromatic look on both pairs as well as the co-branded Nike x Undercover tongue tag. Rounding out the look is a speckled midsole in contrasting colors paired to an outsole that borrows its color from the upper.
The Undercover x Nike Dunk High 1985 Chaos in Triple Black is set to release on February 28th, 2022 with the Triple White to follow. Both pairs will be available through Nike, Undercover and select retailers worldwide online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price for both colorways is set at $150 each.
