The Summer 2024 Olympics are just around the corner, and Team USA Basketball is in full preparation mode. Players showcase new signature sneakers and exclusive PE colorways as the team gears up for the games in Paris, France. One of the standout debuts comes from Tyrese Haliburton, who unveiled two new Nike Kobe sneakers, specifically Nike Kobe 4 Protro PEs, themed after Team USA. Alongside Haliburton’s debut, Steph Curry introduced the new Under Armour Curry 12.
These new Kobe 4 Protro PEs embody the Olympic spirit, featuring the iconic red, white, and blue scheme synonymous with Team USA. Both pairs are adorned with a safari print on the mudguard and collar, seamlessly blending into the sneaker with a tonal finish. This exotic print adds a touch of sophistication and uniqueness to the design and matches the same design details found on other Nike models for the Olympics, including the GT Cut 3 and GT Jump 2. The first pair primarily features a navy finish with white and red details on the tongue tag, Swoosh, and sole unit. The second pair offers an inverse design, with a white upper and navy and red accents in the same locations, providing a crisp and clean look.
The Nike Kobe 4 Protro Olympic USA PEs will remain exclusive to members of Team USA Basketball and will not be seeing a public release. However, Nike and Vanessa Bryant will celebrate the Olympics with a retro of the Nike Kobe 4 Protro Gold Medal in August.
