Vans has been putting in the work when it comes to collaborative efforts as the iconic Cali-based brand recently teamed up with Nicole McLaughlin, Roller Magazine, Haribo, and GALLERY DEPT. just to name a few. Now the skate-friendly label is working with Kunichi Nomura and his TRIPSTER brand on a three-pack of collaborative Vans ComfyCush Authentic colorways.
Coming to us in “Passionate Red,” “Stable Black,” and “Pure Light Grey,” the model remains relatively unchanged as it still features its iconic canvas construction with suede details around the toe. Throughout the upper we see the titular shade for each respective colorway take over while the tongue and lace set comes in a stark white hue. TRIPSTER branding is present on the tape measure-like lace set and along the tongue tag while we also see their Salvation Army-like logo land on the insole and lining of the tongue. Rounding out the look is a white rubber midsole with blue details on the heel and piping the entire sole unit paired with a gum rubber outsole.
The TRIPSTER x Vans ComfyCush Authentic Pack is set to release on March 25th, 2023 through select Vans and select retailers overseas while the US will see a launch via boysofsummer.com. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at ¥12,100 (approx $92 USD).
