Toga Archives x Asics Gel-Cumulus 16 Pack

We are in a golden age of fashion and sneaker crossovers, with few designers still too pretentious for a major footwear collaboration, and sportswear brands happier than ever to let respected labels create their own canvas through colorways, alterations, or completely new silhouettes altogether. The latest fashion brand to join the fold is Japan’s TOGA Archive, which launches its first collection in partnership with Japanese sneaker brand Asics this month.

Taking on the Gel-Cumulus 16, TOGA replaces the traditional laces with a pulley system and then adds another set of thicker laces across the top in a style that draws immediate comparison to Off-White Dunks. The shoes also feature silver jewelry beneath the middle two lace eyelets for a bit of high-fashion accessorizing. The TOGA x Asics collection launches with three colorways of the altered Cumulus 16: silver and red, grey and silver, and orange and blue.

Toga Archives x Asics Gel-Cumulus 16 White Metallic Silver Red

The silver and red pair is a classic Y2K mesh runner nod, using white mesh, shiny silver support panels, and a gradient red hit on the Asics logo. The grey and silver pair is muted throughout, with dark grey mesh, light and dark grey support panels in suede and nubuck, and a black and silver gradient side logo. The most color comes from the orange and blue pair, which starts with a yellowish tan mesh, orange and brown support panels, and a blue and silver gradient Asics logo.

The TOGA Archive x Asics Gel-Cumulus 16 Collection was originally released on October 3, 2025 in Japan. A global release through Asics and select retailers will take place on October 17.
