Thrasher Magazine is Getting in on the World Cup Hype with an adidas Predator Cleat

The World Cup is bringing soccer to every corner of the sneaker industry. From cross-sport hybrids to national team collab pairs, every brand under the sun is kicking the ball around in anticipation of next month’s global tournament. The latest unlikely pairing? An adidas Predator soccer cleat from skateboarding’s most trusted news source, Thrasher Magazine.

The Thrasher x adidas Predator Cleat takes the mag’s ongoing partnership with The Three Stripes off the streets and onto the pitch, moving from a collection of collab skate shoes to a performance soccer boot. Previewed by adidas’ Sam Handy, the cleat adds classic Thrasher fire graphics and co-branding on the fold-over tongue.

Starting with heat on the toe, the collab cleat features gold and light blue flames rising up from the front of the pair, a shoutout to the Argentine roots of Thrasher’s founding family, the Vitellos. Black leather rests behind it on the rest of the upper, and a Thrasher logo is added to the right tongue in gold, while an adidas logo is added to the left. Thrasher’s World Cup adidas collab brings the Argentine vibes to an entire collection of clothing to match the cleats.
