Dr. Martens And The Clash Team Up To Celebrate The Best Of British Rock
Published
In 1976, Paul Simonon, Mick Jones, and Joe Strummer dropped out of art school to form The Clash. From rehearsing in abandoned railway warehouses in Camden Town to performing at sold out tours around the world, the London-born crew is, and will always be, regarded as one of the best British rock bands of all time. To celebrate almost five decades together, The Clash have teamed up with Dr. Martens for a capsule, and here's everything that you need to know.
Releasing in two silhouettes, the 1460 8-Eye Boot will come in a glossy dark green hue while the 1461 3-Eye Shoe opts instead for a cherry red makeover. The more you rock these, the more this layer wears away to reveal a matte black Arcadia leather base that follows the classic DM aesthetic. According to The Clash, this has been done to symbolize the English group's Sandinista! and self-titled record artwork. Both pairs will be available in special boxes and will come accompanied with limited edition tote bags and dog tags as well, so you can celebrate 46 years of The Clash in style.
The Dr. Martens x The Clash Collection is set to release on October 6th, 2022 in men's sizes with a retail price yet TBA. Expected to drop at Dr. Martens and select online and in-store retailers worldwide, let us know which pair you'll be going for, and make sure you follow Sole Retriever on Twitter and download our officialMobile App for your best chance to cop!
