Salomon has continued to ascend past its technical outdoor-ready roots and entered the “hype” and fashion world with celebrities, influencers, and a slew of sneakerheads checking out the brand’s latest releases. With this in mind, collaborators have become a key for the French-based footwear manufacturer to continue to grow its brand image and Salomon doesn’t have to go too far for its latest link-up as Paris-based boutique The Broken Arm is tackling the Salomon XT-Quest 2 in a “Texas” colorway.
Following the duo’s collab on the X-DESALPES, Salomon and The Broken Arm reinterpret the culture surrounding outdoor sneakers with the XT-Quest 2 by covering it in cow-like print while maintaining its technically-focused details. Taking on a leather, mesh, and faux-fur construction, the aforementioned cow-print details land on the toe, tongue, and along the midfoot while olive and black hues accent throughout. Black leather on the mudguard helps reinforce the upper while olive overlays wrap along the midfoot to host metallic eyestays that keep the brown lace set in place. Branding details for Salomon appear in orange, found on the lateral side of the mudguard, atop the tongue, and back on the heel while The Broken Arm makes an appearance on the white insole. Within the sole unit, you’ll find a 4D Advanced Chassis system that provides stability and adaptability on all terrains with it contained by black rubber. Rounding out the design is the Contagrip rubber outsole in black.
The Broken Arm x Salomon XT-Quest 2 Texas is set to release on March 3rd, 2023 through The Broken Arm online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $212.
