Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies, and Hooterville Junction. While those three may no longer be so god damn relevant, Teyana Taylor sure is. The R&B singer-turned-actress walked away with some prestigious hardware last night at the 83rd Golden Globes, taking home the award for Best Supporting Actress as Perfidia Beverly Hills in Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another. The film swept multiple categories last night and is currently a frontrunner at the Oscars. But what a moment for Teyana Taylor. Her acceptance speech has been trending all across social media, and Jordan Brand even tipped its hat to her with a social post of its own.

In our space of sneakers, Teyana Taylor really made a name for herself with a Jordan Brand collaboration in 2023 on the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2. She had previously worked on projects with Ewing Athletics, adidas, and Reebok, but her A Rose From Harlem colorway on the remixed Air Jordan 1 High became an instant classic. Taylor’s love for her birthplace of Harlem played a major role in the inspiration for the colorway, and is expected to do so once again when Teyana works with Jordan Brand later this year on the Air Jordan 3.

So far, the only information available on Teyana Taylor’s Air Jordan 3 collab is that the pair is set to release in Spring 2026 and will again lean into the rose theme found in her previous work in the sneaker space. While yes, she did drop a song on her 2018 album K.T.S.E. dubbed “A Rose From Harlem,” the source of inspiration for this motif goes way back. The famous Tupac poem “The Rose That Grew From Concrete,” which Pac wrote sometime between 1989 and 1991, was published in a collection of his writings.

We also know that the sneaker will retail for $280, though it was originally supposed to be released for $230. The reason for this price increase is unknown now, but our best guess would be the packaging and the alleged removable thorns and roses on the upper. Plus, yesterday’s price is not today’s price. Taylor’s a Golden Globe winner now.

Hopefully Teyana can take home some gold at the Oscars for her role as Perfidia Beverly Hills. Come to think of it… If the shoe hasn’t released by March, the Oscars may be the best place to debut the new collaboration. For now, we’ll try our best to remember the code words, unlike Leonardo DiCaprio’s character and Teyana’s partner in the film, Bob Ferguson, so that we can stay in the loop on news regarding Taylor’s AJ 3 collab.
