Teddy Santis's New Balance Collection Is Coming Soon

After a successful collaboration and promotion to Creative Director of New Balance, Aime Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis is ready to push the brand forward with a Made In USA line. With news of the ALD x New Balance 650 finally shipping, Teddy took to Instagram to showcase a top-down view of 16 colorways of varying silhouettes, teasing us for his upcoming New Balance Made In USA Spring Collection.

Included in the teased imagery are two NB 990v1s, seven NB 990v2, and seven NB 990v3s. While a handful of the silhouettes don the New Balance color palette of grey, there are quite a few offerings coming in vibrant oranges, reds, and blues. With most of the silhouettes not being given an in-depth look just yet, we do have an up-close look at New Balance 990v2 Made In USA “Grey.” The upper is mainly constructed out of a thick hairy suede along with the overlays, and a base layer coming in the usual mesh. Shades of the famous New Balance Grey cover almost every part of the upper, minus the tan-colored heel overlay.

A set of white laces pop off the tongue, working their way through the suede eyelets to the 990 embroidered onto the tongue. Along the midfoot, your N branding comes in a fully reflective 3M material with over stitching creating multiple layers to the logo. Back towards the heel, we see USA stitched onto a 3M reflective heel tab encircled by the previously mentioned tan suede overlay. Rounding out the look is the two-tone white and tan Abzorb cushioned midsole paired with a black rubber outsole. As for packaging, we are given a new cream/red colored New Balance box alongside a card that features all 16 pairs of this 990 Made In USA Collection.

The New Balance Made In USA Spring 2022 Collection spearheaded by Teddy Santis is expected to release in the coming months through New Balance and select New Balance retailers online and in-store.
