Tasnim Chowdhury Debuts Her 3D-Printed Nike Air Works Design

The Nike Air Works design program brought up-and-coming sneaker artists from around the world together with mentors from Nike’s extended family, all in the pursuit of 3D-printed greatness. The eight hand-picked designers spent months crafting new shapes and printing samples, and now, we’re starting to see the fruits of their labor.

Tasnim Chowdhury’s Take on the Air Max

London-based designer Tasnim Chowdhury is the second Air Works selection to show off their artistry, previewing a wavy, streamlined slip-on silhouette. At a party to celebrate her work, the 3D-printed model was on display in a bright monochrome yellow with a pinkish red shade shining through from the Air bubble in the forefoot and heel.

Starting with a slick triangular toebox vamp, textured panels fall on either side of the toe, stretching back to the heel. On the side panels, a swooping wave crests over the tongue in a one-piece arch over the forefoot. The slip-on silhouette features a cushioned ankle collar, with three visible Air units in the midsole.

Nike Air Works Details

The Nike Air Works shoes won’t be available at retail, with a small batch of each silhouette made for the designers’ friends and family. A complete look at all eight pairs is expected for Air Max Day 2027, with more previews expected to roll out before next March.
