Sometimes, it’s what you don’t see that makes the art piece. As Vans continues to expand its recently refreshed OTW (Off The Wall) line with jewelry collections and collabs across the streetwear landscape, the skate shoe brand’s latest partnership comes from growing streetwear brand T-Rex Global, with a devilish slip-on that leaves the horns to the imagination.
Devil in a Slip-On Skate Shoe
Previewed in an Instagram post from T-Rex, the slip-on collaboration features a devil girl motif that’s present across all of T-Rex’s work. The photo-realistic face graphic is added to the entire toebox of the Slip-On, with faint paisley print poking through around her features. Instead of the devil horns featured on most T-Rex graphics, the Vans pair uses the tongue cutouts at the top of the Slip-Ons to insinuate the devilish vibes.
The black and white graphic upper is paired with a cream structure on the side panels and insole before returning to black on the heel tab. A T-Rex script logo is added to the heel tab to match the graphic, and a clean white midsole brings it all together. Finally, a collab box features a T-Rex logo and devil horns on a Vans logo.
