Ja Morant isn’t the only high flyer from the Carolinas to get the Swarovski treatment on their signature shoe this year. The Air Jordan 1 is getting another crystal-encrusted remix to follow last year’s take on the Air Jordan 1 Low Shadow that featured black and grey crystals on the upper. The Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG has been floating around on the web since late last year and finally, official images of Jordan Brand’s latest collaboration with the luxury jeweller have come to light.
Swarovski and The Swoosh are no strangers to collaboration, with efforts dating as far back as 2017 and including recent collaborations on the Nike Ja 3 and the Nike Pegasus Premium. While those collaborations are still elevated takes on their respective silhouette, the Air Jordan 1 takes the cake in terms of shimmering quality.
The newly released images show a premium Vast Grey leather upper with canvas embroidered in asymmetrical wavy patches throughout the upper and on the tongue. Those splashes are meticulously covered in Swarovski crystals of various sizes without covering every portion of the upper like the Swarovski x Air Jordan Low 1 Shadow while also giving it a more organic feel.
A metallic silver Air Jordan Wings logo adds more deluxe features to the high fashion collaboration, while a white midsole and semi-translucent outsole complete the look. Not only does the premium collab come with silk dust bags for each individual shoe, but it also includes a cobranded Swarovski x Jordan Brand bracelet with the Jordan Wings logo surrounded by crystal, which also comes complete with its own dust bag.
