If you can count on New York City skate shop and streetwear giant Supreme for anything, its getting ghoulish with their graphics. Carrying on a long tradition of embracing skulls, bones, and the imagery of decay, Supreme’s latest collab takes a formal boot and turns it into a late fall Halloween tribute, creepy smile and all.
The Supreme x Dr. Martens 1461 3-Eye Shoe Pack features three colorways of the classic split-sole walking shoe, each covered in a massive smiling skull graphic. Arriving in blue, red, and black, the black and red versions feature white graphic overlays, with a skull face looking up from the toebox and demonic eyes stretching around to the side panels. On the blue pair, black graphics create a darker two-toned mix that stands out from the pack.
Dr. Martens has been a consistent collaborator for Supreme, allowing the skatewear leaders to add its flair to the legacy footwear. Earlier this year, Supreme took on the Penton Loafer, covering three colorways in silver studs, and before that, they brought out an earlier pack of 1461 3-Eye Shoes with colorways that distress away into new blends with wear.
