Teased by Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Last week, the fashion world froze over when A$AP Nast took to Instagram to tease what looked like a Stüssy x Dries Van Noten collaboration. While the Laguna Beach-based streetwear imprint is certainly no stranger when it comes to high fashion projects, having teamed up with Dior just last year, this would mark the first time that they've linked with the Belgian fashion designer. While others were quick to brush away the rumors, Flea, from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has taken to Stüssy's official Instagram account to confirm that the collab is 100% happening - and here's everything that we know so far.
In what seems to be a behind-the-scenes look at a photoshoot, Flea can be seen crouched down in bed doing his morning stretches while wearing a selection of key pieces from the collection. Rocking a varsity letterman jacket, this has been embroidered with intricate gold patterns around the back complete with Stüssy x Dries Van Noten co-branding. He also has a pair of shorts which feature Van Noten's signature abstract designs. The end of the clip features the logos of both labels superimposed into each other, thereby confirming that all the rumors have been true all along.
Not much else is known about the Stüssy x Dries Van Noten Collection at this moment in time, but it's expected to be available in unisex sizing and will release sometime before the end of 2022.
