It’s hard to believe that Nike+ and FuelBand technology was less than ten years ago, but Stussy hasn’t forgotten the Air Max sneaker that debuted the year after. The Air Max 2013 took a few steps forward, with articulation grooves in the Max Air unit and a thinner outsole rubber for better flexibility to encourage a more natural running motion. With Hyperfuse reinforcements and the early days of Flywire stability cables incorporated into the lacing structure, Stussy is quick to remind us that footwear technology has come a long way from even a decade ago.
The Stussy x Nike Air Max 2013 "Psychic Pink" comes in an all-over pink colorway, from the wide mesh to the fuse reinforcement cage stabilizing the upper. The Flywire cables are pink as well, with matching oval laces locking down the mesh tongue. The tongue tag features Stussy and Air Max co-branding with 3M reflective accents. More co-branding is found via the insoles, which are also done in pink, with mesh as the inner liner material of choice. The little bit of midsole foam is also pink, matching the color of the columns within the full-length Max Air cushioning unit. The black outsole features grooves that expose the pink inside the Max Air unit, also showcasing more Nike and Stussy co-branding against in the center.
The Stussy x Nike Air Max 2013 Psychic Pink is set to release on August 5th, 2022. The sneakers will be released on Nike, Stussy, and at select Nike Sportswear retailers for a retail price of $210 in men's sizes. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
