Throughout 2022, we’ve seen Stussy and The Swoosh (including Converse which falls under their umbrella) link up on multiple projects. When it comes to Converse, they’ve brought their unique style to a “Surfman” Chuck 70 and an all-black look on the model, though it seems they aren’t done with the silhouette just yet. Bringing us some fortune-telling (or billiards) vibes, an 8-Ball gets added to the Stussy x Converse Chuck Taylor 70 and One Star Ox.
Starting with the Chuck Taylor, the model comes in its typical high-top form with an navy-colored suede covering the upper and white accent stitching featured throughout. Along the toe, the rubberized white toecap remains with the black lace set nearby weaving through metallic silver eyestays towards the re-designed Stussy x Converse “All-Star” logo. Looking at the lateral side you’ll find an 8-Ball patch embroidered where you’d normally find the Chuck Taylor All-Star logo while the medial side comes with the patch completely covered in the same material and color as the rest of the upper. Contrasting the colors we’ve already seen, the sockliner and insole get a cream makeover with “Stussy” branding appearing behind the tongue and on the insole. Rounding out the design is the vulcanized rubber midsole and outsole.
On the One Star Ox, things get a little bit brighter compared to the Chuck Taylor as the upper features a bright neon green suede. Similar details can be found here with white accent stitching throughout, black laces, and a redesigned tongue tag as well as the 8-Ball logo replacing the usual star found on the midfoot. Even with this present on the lateral side, the medial side gets a perforated star logo. Further branding details make their way to the white insole where a co-branded Stussy and Converse graphic sits. Everything is tied together by the white vulcanized rubber midsole and gum rubber outsole.
The Stussy x Converse 8-Ball Pack is set to release on November 3rd, 2022 through select retailers online and in-store while Stussy and Converse will launch the collection on November 15th, 2022. Coming in men’s sizing, the Chuck Taylor will retail for $110 while the One Star Ox holds a $100 price tag.
